Mo. Ag Koster Looking For Solutions To Diversify Law Enforcement - Ozarksfirst.com

According to a press release, Attorney General Chris Koster has announced a two-day workshop to discuss solutions to the challenge of low participation by minorities in Missouris urban law enforcement. In the statement Koster reflects on articles posted by The St. Louis Dispatch and the Kansas City Star that have reported that The Ferguson Police Department is approximately 7 percent African-American while serving a 70 percent African-American Community. Koster is inviting police chiefs, school administrators, students, community and neighborhood leaders, guidance counselors, and others to offer input on the best ways to encourage greater minority participation in law enforcement careers in the state.
